Padded Weapon Sparring-
This will be a point fighting contest. The player with the most points
at the end of a 2 minute round. Point
value for this division is (2) points for the head (1) point to the
body and extremities. The following safety
gear is required- Headgear with face shield or cage, hand protectors,
(chest protectors are optional for
children, but recommended), groin protector for males. Points can only
be scored from a valid strike using
the padded weapon. No punching, kicking, or grappling of any kind allowed.
No strikes allowed to Groin,
Throat, or the Spine. Weapons may be parried but not blocked by hand
or arms; no grabbing allowed. All
padded weapons and helmets will be provided by promoter.
Violations-
1st is Warning, 2nd is Loss of a Point, 3rd is disqualification (no
exceptions)
Safety Equipment–
Gloves, mouth piece, and cup (males only ).
